The ambrosia den is a place in Devil's Acre where ambro addicts go to get ambrosia and watch fights.
Description[]
The ambrosia den is long and narrow with low ceilings, The room is dark and reeks of smoke, and lit by oil lamps trimmed so low they give no more light than matches, and has bunk beds built into the walls. A curtain of hanging beads leads to a brighter room. A burly man stands on a chair at the opposite wall, directing people to one of two doors. Bets are placed in the parlor. A side room is where cowards go. They are under guard, covered in tar and feathers. One room has a little chair with frescoed walls.
Out back of the ambro den is a walled courtyard, the centerpiece of which is a freestanding cage about forty feet square, its sturdy bars easily capable of containing a hollowgast. A line is painted in the dirt approximately as far from the cage bars as a hollow’s tongues can reach. The courtyard’s walls are ringed with smaller cages, and inside a tiger, a wolf, and what looked like a full-grown grimbear are being held to fight.
