HOLLOWGASTS

Hollowgasts, also known as hollows, are creatures that were spawned from the Experiment of 1908. Hollows are corpselike and withered except for their muscular jaws, within which they harbor three powerful, tentacle-like tongues. Normal hollows are invisible to everyone but librarians, until Caul was able to find away to get around it. Until the 21st century, hollows were unable to enter loops, which quickly became the preferred home for peculiars. If a hollow consumes enough peculiar souls, it will turn into a wight.
