The Peculiar Children Wiki

Sir Christopher Wren was an English architect who built St. Paul's Cathedral in London.

Hollow City[]

He was first mentioned in Hollow City when the peculiar children read the story about the Pigeons of St. Paul's. In St. Paul's Cathedral, they go to his tomb, which Bronwyn opens, and it is revealed to be a loop entrance.

Tales of the Peculiar[]

Tasked to build St. Paul's Cathedral, he makes peace with the peculiar pigeons, who were warring with the humans. Wren could brokenly speak the pigeons' native bird language, as he knew a great deal about peculiar birds since his mother had been one.

Trivia[]

  • Though Sir Wren is introduced in a fantasy-genre book, he was the actual architect of the modern day St Paul's Cathedral.
  • Author Ransom Riggs most likely chose to use his legacy as the basis of a loop; his surname was a type of bird.
