Disguising room

A disguising room

A disguising room is designed to help visiting peculiars blend in with a loop’s normals.

Description[]

A disguising room is a room in loops filled with clothes from different time periods for peculiars to use while going to different times. For example, if a peculiar from the present wanted to visit a loop from the 19th century, they would use the disguising room to blend in.

History[]

Hollow City[]

One of these rooms is used when Miss Peregrine's wards are looking for Miss Wren in the tourist loop. The clothes in the room are described by Horace as being moth-eaten and patched with clashing fabric. He also states that he is weary of dressing like a street urchin, to which Emma tells him that street urchins are what blend into that loop.

The Conference of the Birds deleted scene[]

In an earlier draft of the scene where Noor Pradesh and Jacob Portman go through the Untouchables' loop in America while evading Leo Burnham's men, they have to leave out a back exit of the loop to enter into March 25, 1905 because going back to the present wasn't a safe option. The two use the disguising room in the loop so they would blend in with the people of the time.[1]
