A diviner is a peculiar who can sense things, such as hidden water or loop entrances, and pick up on things, such as the voices of the dead.

- Librarians are able to sense the whereabouts of hollowgasts, making them somewhat similar to diviners.
- Diviners are considered mentalists by some ymbrynes, but Miss Peregrine classes them in a category of their own as divining is more heightened body sensitivity than mind.[1]
- Although Portal is not a loop for only one kind of peculiar, it is inhabited by many diviners.
