Ellery is a female peculiar of the Northern Clan. Castings of her Maderwurm are the first ingredient needed to bring back Caul.
The Conference of the Birds[]
Fiona Frauenfeld was forced by the wights to kidnap Ellery with a hollowgast, due to one of Ellery's worms being on the list of ingredients required to resurrect Caul. Ellery's kidnapping was pinned on the Californio Clan, and Jacob Portman was brought in by Miss Peregrine to disprove this. It was found that Ellery had been brought through a passage that led out of the loop. She and her kidnappers then boarded a bus heading to Cleveland.
After Fiona temporarily broke free from the mind control she was under and caused a bus accident in an attempt to escape, the wights ditched an injured Ellery, leaving her in a pile of leaves as they had already taken what they needed from her.
She tells Jacob, Emma and Enoch that the wights made her cry to steal her Maderwurm. She asks the three to kill the wights, but not the girl who was with them, stating that the girl stopped the bus and gave her beautiful flowers. At this point, she starts aging forward.
The ymbrynes give her an emergency serum to stop the worst of the aging, and she is brought to a loop, which saves her life. However, having aged so much in such a short period of time, it is unsure what kind of a life she will live.
There is a contradiction where Ellery is referred to as the Californio girl taken prisoner out of revenge by the Northerners.
Physical Appearance[]
Ellery was a slight, pale girl with only one eye, wearing an eye patch that covered the black and puckered hole where her right eye is supposed to be. Her eye socket apparently housed around a hundred small white worms.
After aging forward, her hair turns from brown to ivory, her skin thins to near translucence, and her one eye clouds to milk. Her hair also grows enough for her eye cavity to be half-obscured by it.
