Ernie Childress was a male peculiar with the peculiarity of deadrising.
Biography[]
Ernie was a lonely boy hired at a cemetery to sweep the stones and such. As a talented deadriser, he kept the company of the recently deceased there.
One day, in broad daylight, a woman saw her husband, who had died three days prior, walking through the graveyard with Ernie, talking and laughing. She fled in hysterics, returning with a gang of armed men. Although no one believed her about her husband walking and talking, they still found Ernie lunching in a crypt filled with open coffins and the bodies disturbed. Ernie, assumed to be a grave robbing ghoul, had his life spared because of his young age, but was committed to an asylum for the rest of his days.[1]
