Farish Obwelo is a male peculiar who is a reporter from the Muckraker in Devil's Acre. He is also the author of The Birdmonger of Butcher's Row and Window-Shopping at Bedlam, the latter of which is a wight story about Caul.[1]

Biography[]

A Map of Days[]

Upon Jacob's return to Devil's Acre, Farish stops him to ask for a photo. He also tries to interview him, but fails as Miss Peregrine drags Jacob away.[2]

The Conference of the Birds[]

Soon after the wights' escape, in front of Bentham's house, Farish is seen interviewing people while scribbling in a notepad.

When Jacob and Miss Blackbird come out of the Panloopticon after a talk, Farish is at the front of a crowd of peculiars demanding answers after a wight escape, with the eye on his forehead staring at Miss Blackbird's. He asks several questions that gradually get bolder until he is stopped by Sharon. However, he still eyes Jacob with interest and calls for him, forcing Jacob to take his friends somewhere more private.

Farish is described as a fast-talking man, with a single eye in the middle of his forehead. He wears a hat with the word PRESS on it.
