Florence Atterton was a wight who posed as a school principal in order to hunt peculiar children.

She was one of the few females[1] supporting Caul's cause and participated in the Experiment of 1908, which turned her into a wight.
Miss Atterton acted as principal to several primary and secondary schools, which is the age that peculiar children are likely to manifest their abilities. In order to keep off suspicion, Miss Atterton never stayed in the same district for more than a year or two.
She kept three hollowgasts instead of one, which is noted to be unusual. The hollows were what got her caught, as they had a "voracious appetite for the student body." She received a life sentence on the Steamship Chunder punishment loop, but escaped, and was last seen disappearing beneath the mud of Regent's Canal.[2]
