Francis Egerton was the third Duke of Bridgewater. He is a real life figure mentioned in Miss Peregrine's Museum of Wonders as being peculiar.
Biography[]
Francis Egerton was born in 1736. He built the world's first modern canal, but is better known among peculiars as one of their foremost animal communicators.
Having the ability to speak to dogs, Egerton preferred their company over humans. He dined with them, dressed them in tailor-made formal clothes, and threw them lavish parties. They were even allowed to use Egerton's carriages and were often driven around town by his chauffeurs.
