George is a bone-mender mentioned in Miss Peregrine's Museum of Wonders.
Biography[]
George was the doctor of a town in Florida, tending to the ailments of the normals there, whether rich or poor. He was remembered for his gentleness and otherworldly intuition. It was unknown how old he was, with the oldest people in town remembering George doing his work even when they were small.
Long before there were x-rays in the area, he seemed to be able to look inside people without needing a knife, and knew right where to cut out the cancer of Gracie Cohunk. No one knew how he did it, nor did they ask.
George only made house calls, with no one ever calling on him at his home, which was made out of the sleeping car of an old circus train. According to a local boy who claimed to have snuck in once, there was nothing in this car except a thick carpet of dust.[1]
