–Golan, under the alias of Barron the bus driver |
Golan, also known as Dr. Golan or Barron, is the primary antagonist of the first book, Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.
Biography[]
Pre-Series[]
Golan was in Jacob's life long before the start of the series, including as Jacob's middle school bus driver Mr. Barron (where he was greatly despised to the point where the students defaced his yearbook pictures with staples), and the man who maintained the Portman family's lawn and cleaned their pool.
Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children[]
He is searching for Miss Peregrine's loop for a long time, and sees his chance to find it with Jacob as his bait. The night Abe Portman dies, Jacob saw him as a neighbouring old man watering a lawn. Later, he pretends to be a psychiatrist. Eventually, Jacob unknowingly leads him straight to Miss Peregrine's loop on the island of Cairnholm, Wales. There, he acts as an ornithologist.
Ultimately, he gets killed by Jacob with his own gun and falls off the lighthouse, throwing Miss Peregrine and Miss Avocet down into the ocean below to get picked up by Caul and his men.
Trivia[]
- He played a total of 5 known roles in Jacob's life.
- Despite the fact that it was an impersonation, Golan was actually a licensed therapist due to the minds of common people having always interested him.
