Harald Beckner was a male peculiar mentioned in Miss Peregrine's Museum of Wonders.
Biography[]
As Harald slept without weights, one morning he got out of bed and accidentally rolled out the window and into the sky. His life was saved by the part of his peculiarity that caused his weight to increase the higher he was, but was trapped floating in the sky at eight thousand feet. Harald was rescued by an airship and returned to his family, who left town with him the next day.
His fall into the sky was witnessed by the whole town of normals. Ymbrynes slowly memory-wiped them, starting with the most hysterical and then others, at a rate of one or two per day, until Harald faded into an urban legend.[1]
Peculiarity[]
Harald's peculiarity is comparable to that of Olive Abroholos Elephanta's, except that at -30 kg, he was far lighter than she ever was; he had to wear a number of weighted things and attempted to gain weight by eating the heaviest foods (which did not work). He grew lighter as he aged. However, his weight increased with altitude.
