Invisibles are a subspecies of peculiars who are completely invisible. They cannot make themselves visible to most and can only be "seen" when wearing clothes. However, they can actually be seen by some peculiars.[1]
Description[]
Known invisibles are born visible, and they generally start disappearing just before puberty, with toes going first and slowly working upward. Some invisibles wear layers and layers of clothes to hide exposed invisible skin, but others live their life naked, and alone. It is difficult for them to have conversations due to others not being able to see their expressions. For this reason, many invisibles retreat to the world of books, becoming scholars.[2]
Courtice Pounds is a special case. Her original peculiarity was disappearing at will, but suffered dissubstantiation: she disappeared to a degree from which she could not reappear, and along with becoming near invisible also became near insubstantial.
