Millicent[1] Thrush is an ymbryne. She is unique in Europe because she has two loops: the one she has in London and the one she shares with Miss Nightjar.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
At some point Millicent's peculiarity would manifest, and an older ymbryne would find her. She began attending the Ymbryne Academy, and would stay there until she was a fully trained ymbryne. After that she traveled around England, collecting wards. She eventually settled in London, England, where she made a loop and the entrance the tomb of Christopher Wren. The Pigeons of St. Paul's would periodically fly into her loop and spend time there.
Miss Thrush also started co-running a loop in Swansea, Wales with Miss Nightjar. The loop is described as being for "hard cases."
Pre-Hollow City[]
Five peculiars looking for safety from wights would make their way to Miss Thrush's London loop, including A. F. Crumbley, but it too was raided by the wights. Miss Thrush and her wards (save for Melina Manon, the Bone Brothers, and the ones who aged forward) were captured, and she was separated from them to be kept with the other kidnapped ymbrynes.
Hollow City[]
Miss Thrush's loop is the first one Jacob Portman and his friends attempt to call when they arrive at London, but no one picks up.[1] They eventually find their way there looking for peculiar pigeons, where they find Melina, the pigeon Winnifred, and the Bone Brothers. Melina tells Jacob, Emma Bloom, and Horace Somnusson how Miss Thrush and half the wards at the loop had been taken away three nights prior.[2]
Library of Souls[]
Caul forces Miss Thrush and the other eleven ymbrynes he captured to open the Abaton loop. Sometime later, Emma and Jacob would break into the wights' tower and free the ymbrynes. Miss Thrush helps fight against the wights, but all the peculiars are ultimately recaptured when Myron Bentham decided to join his brother.
After the battle inside the Library of Souls, Miss Thrush and the other ymbrynes are able to collapse the Abaton loop, and her internal clock, along with those of everyone else who escaped, is reset.
Peculiarity[]
As an ymbryne, Miss Thrush can turn into a thrush and manipulate time to create loops.
Known Wards[]
Melina Manon[]
Melina had lived in Miss Thrush's loop since she was 16 years old. She was one of the residents who evaded capture, along with the Bone Brothers.
The Bone Brothers[]
The Bone Brothers were two boys who could communicate with one another. They have a sonic scream and were able to escape the hollowgast attack.
