P.T. is the grimbear companion of Myron Bentham. He carried Myron around everywhere and it was stated by Myron that it took several years to train him. After the events of Library of Souls, it is unknown whether P.T. lived.
Library of Souls[]
He is first introduced in Library of Souls when Jacob and Emma were in Myron's house exploring. They came across him in a room around a corner and he licked Jacob’s face, before they met Myron Bentham.
Appearance[]
Jacob's first impression of P.T. is that the bear is a "terrifying ten-foot mountain of fur and claws." He has bushy fur, a wet, rough tongue and hot, stinking breath. He is able to walk on his hind legs (albeit "like a stubby-legged fat person") in order to carry Bentham in his front paws.

Myron Bentham[]
Myron raised P.T. and trained him to be an animal helper, with P.T. responding to Myron's every command and would hurt those on his bad side. Myron also cares deeply for P.T., crying out in anger and hugging the bear after P.T.'s back was burned while protecting Myron, Nim, Jacob, and Emma from Caul's messenger bird bomb.
Grimbear Cubs[]
Later in the book Library of Souls, he made friends with the grimbear cubs and takes care of them.
Alexi[]
Alexi the grimbear was P.T.'s great-uncle.
