Ransom Riggs is an American author and filmmaker. He is known for his first series bestseller, the Peculiar Children series.
Biography[]
Riggs was born in Maryland while he grew up in Sarasota County, Florida. There, he attended the Pine View School for the Gifted one of the top schools in the state. He graduated with a degree in English literature at Kenyon College while he earned a degree in film at the University of Southern California. Ransom Riggs was married twice, the first spouse unknown, the second one being the author Tahereh Mafi. He had met her after publishing Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.
