The inside of St. Paul's Cathedral

St. Paul's Cathedral is a church in London that was build by Sir Christopher Wren. It is guarded by The Pigeons of St. Paul's.

Description[]

The cathedral’s interior was massive—it seemed, impossibly, even larger than the outside and damaged. The altar was buried under a midden of debris. Where a bomb had pierced the roof, sunlight fell down in broad beams. At the bottom was a large, dimly lit room walled and floored with stone. It was cold and damp and almost completely dark, the electricity having been knocked out. Beneath our feet, stretching from wall to wall, were marble slabs chiseled with writing.

Hollow City[]

The peculiar group arrive at the Cathedral in Hollow City as they are searching for Miss Wren. Underneath the Cathedral, they find the tomb of Christopher Wren, presumably her father, which is also a loop entrance. They arrive at Miss Thrush's Loop.

Tales of the Peculiar[]

St Paul's Cathedral is featured in the chapter: 'The Pigeons of St. Paul's' in the Tales of the Peculiar.
