The Peculiar Children Wiki

Tombs is a male peculiar appearing in Tales of the Peculiar. He formerly served as the leader of the peculiar village Ymeene was invited into.

Tales of the Peculiar[]

The First Ymbryne[]

When Ymeene first arrives in the village, she avoids Tombs due to her dislike of prideful men.

One day, he meets with another member of the Council of Important Peculiars and learns that the normals of Oddfordshire are going to fight all the peculiars out. He and the rest of the council want the peculiars to stay and fight, and Tombs lies that the normals are small in number and only lightly armed. Ymeene learns this when she starts to fly away and sees the hundreds of normals.

When Ymeene starts time-looping, preventing the normals from getting closer to the peculiars, Tombs angrily tells her to stop and that she is simply delaying the inevitable. He tries to use his authority as part of the council, but the other peculiars no longer accept the council due to their lies. Eustace Corncrake pulls Tombs's nose, causing Tombs's face to turn inside out, and he runs away. He comes back, with other members of the council, for the refuge of the twenty-four hour loop Ymeene soon finds that she can create. He and the council do not try to shut the loop down anymore, but they try to stop new arrivals due to the number of peculiars growing too much. However, no one listens to them anymore. Tombs gets blamed by the rest of the council of acting alone in tricking the peculiars into going to war. After Ymeene gets blamed of stealing authority, the peculiars drive the councilmen out of the loop in anger.

Description[]

Appearance[]

Tombs is a red-bearded giant.

Personality[]

Although his voice makes it hard for others to take him seriously, Tombs takes himself very seriously and is very proud of being a part of the Council of Important Peculiars. He also dislikes running away, being on the side of fighting the persecuting normals from the start even when he knew that they would be overwhelmed because of number. He feels a sense of honor in fighting, values the peculiars' dignity, and doesn't want to leave Britain due to the fact that the peculiars' history of living there is centuries long. Tombs is also not above resorting to lying when convincing his village.

Peculiarity[]

He is a giant with the squeaky voice of a sparrow.
